Our School Programs

More Than a Mobile Petting Zoo

We bring the wonders of wildlife directly to your school or educational setting, transforming classrooms into dynamic learning environments. Our educational class programs are tailored to align with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) standards, ensuring that every interaction is as educational as it is entertaining. From sparking curiosity in young learners to supporting advanced science topics, we create unforgettable learning moments.

We do have many options. I’m confident we can structure a program to fit your budget and educational goals. The Creature Teacher programs are listed below:

  • Single Programs – These can be 30, 45, or 60 minute general assembly programs. Although we can certainly present to very large groups, it is not recommended.  Single programs are great for one or two grade levels and groups up to 100 students.
  • Multiple Programs – If the entire school will be attending our programs, the multi-program option is the better way to go. We will send out one instructor to present to each grade level throughout the day. The Specials Period may be the best option when scheduling time for the programs. Utilizing this time has been the preferred class period at many schools.  This also allows us to change our programs to fit the grade level TEKS.
  • STEAM Team – This is the ultimate way to go! With this option, we schedule 2, 3, or more instructors to come out and present simultaneously. Different programs and animals will be presented in separate locations in your school where the students rotate to each program. Each class can be anywhere from 15 – 45 mins, depending on your school schedule and number of students. It gives the students a full, immersive experience. Class examples might be rainforest/desert/grasslands or mammals/reptiles/invertebrates. Our Programs Director will reach out and help you select from our long list of options for your classes. This can be for the entire school or just one grade level. It’s a great 5th grade science experience!
  • STEM Camp – Perfect for a single grade (usually 3rd grade and up). This option is like going to science camp all day without ever leaving the campus. Our team of instructors will energize, excite, and educate your students with a variety of programs from drones to water experiments, live animals, skulls, team building, and more. Each camp is custom designed to fit your educational needs.
  • Education Station – This option is more of a booth type set up where students and their families can come and go. Rather than the sit-down program, our educational and fun booth is interactive. Guests can come by and pet the kangaroo, interact with one of our giant snakes, see creepy bugs and so much more.  Our stations are perfect for Science Nights, STEM Nights, and fundraisers.
  • Conservation Presentation with Dezzi the sloth! – Students will learn the importance of the rainforest, how it benefits the earth, and the amazing animals who call it home. Dezzi the sloth is our main attraction, but she is sure to bring a few of her Closest rainforest friends.

Just a Few of Our Many Class Options

New! Drones

At The Creature Teacher, we focus on making the learning experience engaging and accessible by integrating hands-on activities and interactive lessons. We introduce students to the basic principles of flight, including concepts such as lift, thrust, and aerodynamics, through simple experiments and demonstrations. We explore how drones work, the different types of drones, and their real-world applications, such as in agriculture, photography, and delivery services. To foster practical skills, we guide students in safely operating mini drones, teaching them to navigate obstacles and perform basic maneuvers. Through these activities, we aim to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for technology, while emphasizing the importance of safety and responsible use.
